Ganesh V. Raj MD PhD

Dr. Raj is a globally renowned urologic surgeon and research scientist, with an illustrious career spanning academia and oncology drug development. He earned his MD and PhD from Jefferson Medical College, followed by urologic residency training at Duke University Medical Center and a urologic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to joining Etira, Dr. Raj served as the Professor of Urology and Pharmacology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he held the Paul C. Peters Chair in Urology. During his time at UT Southwestern, he co-led the Experimental Therapeutics Program at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Prostate Cancer Program. Dr. Raj has authored over 200 publications, secured 30 patents, and founded three successful spinoff companies. He established Etira with the mission of advancing the ERX platform of drugs for treating advanced cancers. In recognition of his groundbreaking contributions, Dr. Raj has received numerous prestigious honors and awards, including the distinction of being the third urologist inducted into the American Society of Clinical Investigation.
